Baseball Player Told to Cut His Dreadlocks or Else

Jose Reyes is being told to cut off his dreadlocksJose Reyes with the Miami Marlina just signed a six-year, $106 million dollar contract.  There is one condition however:  He must cut off his dreadlocks.   Owner Jeffrey Loria said that the teams haircut policy hasn’t changed and that Reyes would be expected to look like everyone else.

“No problem at all,” said Reye. “That’s not going to affect me and the way I play the game. I’ve got to cut it off, no problem.”

Another Marlins player, Hanley Ramirez, didn’t take to the policy so well.  He complained about having to cut his hair and said that he wanted to be traded.  He even went through the clubhouse wearing a t-shirt that said, “I’m sick of this.”

PURE UNADULTERATED RACISM.IN A CITY WHERE THE MAJORITY ARE PPL OF COLOR,THIS HAS TO OFFEND PLAYERS.A TELLING SIGN OF WHY THE MARLINS ANNUALY SUCK AS,THE OWNERS ARE NOT TREATING THE PLAYERS LIKE MEN..A GROWN MAN WORTH ILLIONS OF DOLARS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO WEAR HIS HAIR HOWEVER HE CHOOSES..NATURAL BLACK HAIR IS NOT UNPROFESSIONAL,IT IS BLACK,THEREFORE MISUNDERSTOOD.THATS THE ONLY PROBLEM,CLEARLY.IF THERE WAS NO RACISM INVOLVED,TEAMS WOULD NOT MAKE THIS A PREREQUISITE.BTW HOUSEBROKENCOONS DESERVE THE TREATMENT THAT ETHNICALLY SOUND BLACKS RECIEVE DAILY.FTW

This is why there will never be a starting QB in the NFL that has dreadlocks. EVER!! Sorry for RG3 and Denard Robinson but its the reality of the fact that to the outside world your hair determines what kind of person you are. If it didn’t matter teams would not make this a prerequisite.
