Herman Cain is no longer running for President of the United States, but he hasn’t stopped being…well….interesting. The former Republican front-runner openly and seriously stated that he could see himself as the Secretary of Defense. During an interview with Barbara Walters, Cain said, ”If I could influence the rebuilding of our military in the way it should be, that would be a task I would consider.”
The statement was made in response to Walters asking Cain what cabinet position he would like if he could choose one. The challenge for Cain is that he made an infamous mistake when describing his position on Libya. Cain said that Libya was the home of Taliban insurgents.
“I have been doing my homework ever since that difficulty,” Cain said to Walters.
Some might be concerned that most high school kids know that the Taliban was not in Libya. Maybe there’s a bit more homework required before Cain is ready to run the most powerful military in the world.
