Dr. Boyce: Michelle Would Have Been a Great First Black President

Dr. Martin Luther King had a dream, and so do I.  Actually, my dream came to me last night, while I was sleeping off an ice cream sundae.  But a dream is a dream, and my dream is that one day, we consider making Michelle Obama President of the United States.   She probably won’t get elected, but she’d pull out black support unlike any other candidate in American history.  No disrespect to Barack, but Michelle might make a better commander-in-chief.  Here are just a few reasons why:

1)  She’s just as smart as her husband:Barack Obama went to an Ivy League school, and so did Michelle.  Barack is a highly trained attorney, and so is Michelle.   In fact, Michelle actually mentored Barack when he first got his job at Sidley Austin, a fancy law firm in Chicago.  I’m sure she can go toe-to-toe with him in any debate.

2) It’s about time we let a woman lead our country. Given that women are now the majority of the American workforce, it is about time for us to let a woman run the country.  Who knows?  Maybe choosing the best person for the job without discriminating based on gender will actually make us better off in the end.

Dr. Boyce I think you were giving Mrs Obama a compliment not meaning to down grade the president in anyway am I right?
because when I heard her speak and read her Bio she sealed the deal for me I was voting for her husband any man that she could support is alright with me . I’ll bet anything Barack gives her her dues and then some . she is a magnificent woman . I’d cast a vote in her favor for any office she wanted to run for

I think Michele should be our next president and the process should begin with her replaceing Joe Biden as vice presidental candidate this year. Then she will be placed to run for president after her husbands two terms are up. There is a precedent for this in other elected offices in this country so we need to begin the process of drafting her for this role immediately.

Dr. Boyce, you are an intelligent man whom I agree with most of the time. Your voice is a needed and necessary one. However, on this topic of Michelle Obama being a President is way off base. Just because one is an excellent supporter in an area DOES NOT a leader make. Even suggesting her in the role of President is quite a stretch. Please, we need a leader who is familiar with the workings of the government as well as someone who can work with, and lead, emphasis on the word LEAD. President Obama, himself, is finding this office is not as even he’d hoped. Please leave Michelle where she is, that is as supporter of her husband and his efforts to get this country moving again!

Where was you during the Bush administration? you want to talk about not being qualified , I don’t know you but I’ll bet $5 you’d make a better president than Bush was . I hope Dr Boyce was merely making a suggestion . The Obamas themselves are most likely wondering if it was worth it by now

Ha, ha so I guess you’ve run out of material on Barack so now your moving on to Michelle. This should be interesting…while I know the compliments are not genuine some others may not. I’ve never seen anything complimentary on this website directed toward black females so like my girlfriends and I say…” let’s see what this fool’s gonna say now! @Robert: just take this website and Dr. Watkins for what it’s worth…pure entertainment and a teaching tool for my kids to show them that sometimes their own kind will be the biggest stumbling block to progress!!!

Your’s is not a novel thought. There are bumper stickers out: “Michelle Obama 2016. However, there is merit in keeping silent until President Barack Obama is re-elected. Some of us are working very hard for that.

By the way sir, I have written and called you so many times about giving public attention to a very real problem in rural Maryland which revolved around the theft of the Frederick Douglass project, $400,000 and jobs for local African Americans. Why can’t I hear from you? Your time and talent could still help us with a right now issue. How about contacting me? Support the President… Help him do his best.

    Thank you.

That position has been taken by her husband and President Barack Obama is doing a great job…. what’s your point? Why do you continue to stir up unnecessary drama. What a hater, you must live a miserable life!

I’m with you Robert this guy is really turning out to be a colossal disappointment. I think he’s on some kinda smoke and it ain’t a peace pipe! Hating on King now making Michelle a better Prez. She never would have run in the first place! He needs to leave the “nuts” off his ice cream!

A sugar rush indeed, after the Martin Luther King comments and now this, Dr. Watkins, are you ok??? You are getting a little offbeat. I agree Michelle might be a good president but does she want to be? Look how they and you have treated her husband who went into the job with his hands tied behind his back. They did everything they could to block his efforts and you know it. I hope every republican in this congress, up for reelection loses their seat.
