First Lady Michelle Obama braved a discussion with the First Gentleman of The Colbert Nation, Stephen Colbert, on her work with veterans.

Colbert first took credit for the First Lady’s graduated status, telling her “the last time you were here you were not First Lady, and now you are, that’s called the Colbert bump.”

The First Lady explained her veterans initiative by sharing how veterans “benefit the bottom line of companies.” She also said “government has a role to play, but it can’t do everything.”
