Andre 3000 to Star as Jimi Hendrix in Feature Film
Previous reports linked a few major names with a Jimi Hendrix biopic, the most notable of which were Andre 3000 and Lenny Kravitz.
Both men were reportedly attached to projects at one time or another.
Now IFTN is reporting that Andre 3000 will play the lead role of Hendrix in All Is by My Side, which documents Hendrix’s period in England from 1966 to 1967 as he formulated his debut album. The film will be written and directed by John Ridley, best known for “Three Kings” and “U-Turn”.
Filming reportedly begins later this month in Ireland.

I’m with Andre 3000 because I Loved Idlewilde but I think Lenny Kravitz would be better

I think this will be a great piece of work and I can so see Mr. Andre 3000 playing that role!
