According to TMZ, Ray J was nearly physically removed from the Billboard Music Awards after getting a nasty reaction from the family of Whitney Houston. Pat Houston was angry because Ray J had been seated near the family. The family continues to believe that Ray J was a bad influence on Whitney, even though she was more than a decade older than him.
Pat then asked security to force Ray J to move out of his seat, but he refused.

The person who should be blamed for Whitney’s death is ??? Hello!!! Whitney! Yes Bobby and RayJ might not be saints but guess what? neither was Whitney Birds of a feather flock together and you can’t teach an old dog new tricks but Im sure Bobby and RayJ learned a trick or two of what not to do and Whitney paid for that lesson with her life. You just cant go around pointing the finger and placing the blame on people for something an adult chooses to do in their life and has been doing before two people who were younger than themselves have done celebrity or not put the blame where it belongs.

I realize that the Houston family want to launch Bobbi Kristina’s career; however, considering what happened to Whitney, it seems to me that they would at least hesitate. In fact, given that BK was, based on all accounts, exposed to powerful drugs at a much earlier age than even Whitney was (and has done a stint or more in rehab), the Houston family should come up with a different strategy for addressing this young girl’s needs than they did to address Whitney’s. For example, at this stage in the game, she needs a manager and/or company that will hold her to certain standards–e.g., drug testing if there are signs of bizarre behavior, rehab for at least 6 months if drugs are found, etc. In fact, as a final tribute to Whitney herself, we, the public, should pledge to do the same. Just as we can “make” this young girl’s career, we can break it. And, to avert–or, at least, delay the onset of–another such disaster, we can send this young girl the message that, at the first sign of her going down that road, all record sales, tv support, and anything else to support her bad habit–should be discontinued. Record sales should come to an abrupt halt! TV viewing of her reality show shoudl report a record low; concert tickets should be disappointing! Had this policy been adopted for Whitney, she’d probably still be here (or she’d be resorting to a less powerful, less deadly, drug of choice.) The same is true of other celebrities, such as Amy Winehouse. Personally, I’ve seen the lives of enough of these talented individuals come to a screeching halt–for one reason or another. But it’s time for the public to make its voice heard, declaring with our voices, as well as with our actions the following: “No more wasted talent!” “No more wasted lives!”

I agree. Bobby nor Ray J are responsible for the outcome of Whitney’s life. It appears that family, friends and others didn’t mind her in her altered state (high). I’m sure it allowed them the flexibility to take advantage.
You would think that here being the source of all of your income, that you would have been watching her like an eagle. Now that your golden opportunity is gone, quit trying to blame other people and look at yourselves.

Let the church say “Amen”. I will always believe Pat Houston conspired with others to have Whitney killed.

Why is it that some of our people act so ignorant during funeral and memorial services? In this case it was an awards ceremony. What difference does it make where a person sits? It proves that to the family of Whitney Houston it is all about show. Don’t they realize that they don’t have Whitney to leach on anymore? They didn’t want Bobby Brown sitting anywhere near them and now it’s Ray J. If they loved Whitney so much, then why do they insist on besmirching her legacy?

It sounds like this whole thing was engineered by the media to create more controversy for The Houston Family. It was clear fr the Oprah interview that there was friction between RayJ & the family, so why would they seat them right together at this very public event. The media blew up that sh*t @ the funeral w. Bobby Brown. The same thing when Aretha Franklin couldn’t attend Whitney’s svc., the media started a lie that there was a problem w. Cissy & Aretha, & on & on & on. Then ppl believe all the sh*t they read & hear & start attacking Whitney & The Houston Family. Also, it takes two to tangle. Whitney may have been responsible for her own choices, but that doesn’t make Bobby Brown or Ray J great guys either. What about their responsibility? If Whitney is so bad n so many of ur eyes, what about their worthless no good @sses! They r certainly nothin to write home about or defend! I wouldn’t want either one within 2 ft of any daughter that I ever had. Since u wanna talk BLAMING, they certainly aren’t exempt!

Houston Family just accept she is gone and move on. There is no one to blame Whitney was an adult and she lived her own life the way she pleased. Focus on her legacy to insure she will not make the same decisions and mistakes that’s all that matters right now. My goodness stop trying to find a scapegoat and let that woman rest in peace.

Pat even admitted to Oprah, Whitney’s drug problem was before Bobby Brown. Did she forget her own words. She knew drugs would be her cause of death one day. Stop the blaming and enjoy Whitney’s memory and legacy. I must say I agree with Johnny Edwards.

I DON’T BLAME RAY J. I WOULDN’T HAVE MOVED EITHER. WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE? THEY MADE BOBBY BROWN MOVE AT THE FUNERAL BUT THEY WERE IN CHARGE OF THAT. THEY DON’T RUN EVERYTHING. WHITNEY IS DEAD. WE ALL LOVED HER AS A PERFORMER BUT SHE MADE HER OWN DECISIONS WHERE DRUGS WERE CONCERNED. SHE JUST DIDN’T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO GIVE THEM UP.

@Ana:
Of course if the highly reputable tabloids say that The Houston Family is going around forcibly removing ppl from their seats then it must be true, right? So let’s all proceed to attack the deceased Whitney some more along with The Houston Family, n the same way that so many attacked them after that controversy w. Bobby Brown at Whitney’s funeral; which was also blown up & instigated by the tabloids. All this talented family has ever done is give the world some of the best music ever, now all that has been reported about them is that they r these horrible immoral ppl who push & force others around. I don’t believe this sh*t! I’ll wait to get The Houston Family’s explanation before taking the word of the scumbag tabloids who trashed & disrespected Whitney & her family throughout her life & cont. n her death. The same way that it trashes & discredits all ppl of color! Also, I seriously doubt that u or anyone else could live under the kind of stresses & pressures of that kind of fame, a 14 yr bad marriage, & the constant scrutiny & scorn of the media for 3 HRS, let alone 3 decades. She did it for 30 yrs at the top of her game, despite her struggles, & still no one could touch her artistically. So maybe u shouldn’t talk about her lack of strength to do anything! None of u walked n her shoes & knew what she had to deal with on a daily basis. Addiction is a disease & it is extremely hard to rid urself of, especially when u have the media blasting ur every misstep on every paper & mag for the whole world to see. RIP Whitney & God bless The Houston Family!

Who will the family blame for her mistakes next? I may have missed something, but I thought Whitney smoked crack (excuse me..she made too much money to ever smoke crack, crack is whack) before she met Ray J?
