The Allen Wranglers are still in the middle of their nasty beef with Terrell Owens. The team cut Owens last week, claiming that he was blowing off team functions and not putting in very much effort. But Owens came back at the team, demanding payment for the four games in which he played. The team allegedly owed TO $160,000 for four games and haven’t paid him a dime.
Owens says that he’s going to sue if he doesn’t get his money. But the owner of the Wranglers, Joe Frankel, says he’s not giving up anything, since Owens is the one who breached his contract.
Just a few months ago, the Wranglers were in love with Owens. They sent letters out to season ticket holders to ask them to renew their memberships, using TO’s face on the cover. It’s amazing how things can change so quickly.
