Always one to portray himself as the good political soldier, Newark mayor Cory Booker appeared on The Tonight Show to talk about the craziness that occurred after he publicly contradicted President Obama and his key campaign strategy. Booker told the audience that President Obama was one of the first people to defend him after he made his unfortunate remarks about Bain Capital, where Booker said that he was appalled by the president’s strategy to use Bain as the foundation for his attacks on Mitt Romney. KultureKritic.com says more:
Cory Booker took some time out to drop in and chat with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show last night. As you’d expect, Booker’s remarks about how he was
uncomfortable attacking Mitt Romney’s time at Bain came up.
Booker said that during the dust up, President Obama called to offer his support.
