In an act of sheer class, the mayor of Cleveland congratulated LeBron James for his big win this week. But that puts him in the minority of Cleveland residents, who still feel that he disrespected the city by leaving for Miami in such dramatic fashion. But LeBron gave a lot of good years to the city, so we say that they should be thankful. Most cities would have been happy to have a player that great, even if it was only for a few seasons.
When LeBron James left Cleveland, some of the fans took the streets and burned his jersey because they felt insulted. But James stuck to his guns and left for Miami, where he would not have to win the championship all by himself. It worked, and now LeBron has the title that he could never win while he played for Cleveland.
Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson told TMZ that ”LeBron James is one of the most talented players in the world,” giving James the props that he deserved.

I am not a sports fan, but I am glad LeBron and the Heat won.
As long as LeBron was making money for the city of Cleveland, he was their hero, but when he left, he was treated like any other Black man in Cleveland without a title…DISRESPECTED!
My opinion of sports is that it’s slavery. The white boys still CONTROL the money and the athletes! They can only support white-owned businesses like white car dealers to realtors; from buying clothes to buying groceries; all white-owned establishments.
They ‘bid’ for the highest players when they have these ‘DRAFTS’. These ball player’s owners are imitating the slave makers; when they were bought to work on massa’s plantations. The only thing different is these athletes are getting paid while working on the ball court and footballl fields. Yes, they are making millions, but these ‘owners’ are makng BILLIONS off of them. They just built a new football stadium in Texas!!!
When our people were enslaved; they were only allowed to play sports or entertain their ‘owners’. Has anything changed?
