I made the video below as a set of tips and tools for any mother or father out there who wants to raise his/her son in a way that is most likely to breed success. While I am not a parenting expert, I’ve been a black man for quite a while now. I’ve also observed the pathways through which many travel that lead to gateways of destruction. I’ve seen innocent young men grow into killers, addicts, deviants, misfits and inmates. All of this begins with how our boys are raised, the structure of their value systems, and how well they are prepared to interact with a highly racist society.
So, without further ado, the video is below. I do not consider this to be a definitive assessment by any means, but perhaps the things I’ve learned might help you. We have to protect our boys by ensuring that they are raised to be strong, intelligent men.

Well, it is time to stop just blaming the parents.
There are youth that come from good homes but they succumb to peer pressure or focus on thinking the gas is greener on the other side.
They become influenced.
We are attacked or becoming involved with so many agencies that are telling us how to raise our children, preventing us from raising our children the way we knew best and we did not have the problems and challenging us these days.
Our children are exposed to so much more now, parents are being thrown in jail, children are being thrown in jail and directed towards prison.
It has been a concern long ago regarding what children are watching on television, listening to in music and being taught in schools, mind you the influences from adults and other youth who have already been exposed to whatever, pay attention to who is coming around your children.
There is no one single reason but a multitude of issues.
The village has been destroyed by exploitation, money issues, relationships gone bad, drugs, sicknesses old and new (without immediate cure).
Still there is this whole blame game on being black which is a color and has been exploited and insulting every time something goes wrong within the communities of color.
There are persons with black skin color from many linguistically diversified ethnicities and races but there still seems to be this lingering about being black in America whose very ethnicity was destroyed due to slavery and ethnocentric poisoning.
You take a language and forbid a culture to be, such as our natives of this country which was re-named by Christoper Columbus after an Italian Amerigo Vespuccius and punish the people for being who they naturally are, then you bring about confusion, resentment, rebellion.
Let see it for what it really is people!
It is not just about being black or a teenage mother (especially when mothers were married at much younger ages a long time ago and managed their families too!).
Stresses are upon us from all angles, we don’t know what happened to this young woman’s mind!
Help us all, not just for the color,

PULEEEZE! IT’S FAR WORSE THAN YRS AGO! TEEN PREGNANCY IS MUCH HIGHER NOW. BOTTOM LINE, IT STARTS FROM HOME! PARENTS ARE NOT TEACHING THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT VALUES AND RESPECT AT A YOUNG AGE. SOME CHILDREN ARE RAISING THEMSELVES. THE IGNORANCE THAT THEY ARE TAUGHT HAS BEEN PASSED ON TO ONE GENERATION TO ANOTHER! ITS SO SAD THAT OUR RACE IS SUCH A MESS NOW! MEN ARE NOT TAKING CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN. LEAVING THEM WITH THE MOTHER TO RAISE. SOME MOTHERS DON’T TRY TO INSTILL ANYTHING POSITIVE INTO THE CHILD! WE REALLY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER!

Elizabeth you are wrong to imply there are no good black parents or children. There are too many with issues, but this is by no means representative of the majority of them. You are brainwashed.

It is time for African-American parents to step up and take responsibility for the lives of their children. We have to many pregnant and teen moms and we have to many boys in jail…we have lost an entire generation…our hope and future is destroyed.
We now have to start over at ZERO thanks to bad parenting.

Teenage pregnancy has been around since the beginning of time. There is far more involved than “bad parenting.” That’s a broad an inaccurate comment.
