Gymnast Gabby Douglas is getting a lot of well deserved attention because of her flawless performances, but she understands that she’s still the underdog. So the only thing she’s really asking is that folks not count her out just yet. Douglas is putting all of her effort into making the Olympic team, and is widely considered to be among a handful of rising stars in the sport of gymnastics. From everything we’ve see, Douglas is proving that she is mentally and physically read to go for Olympic gold:

If she lands a spot on the Olympic team, 16-year-old Gabby Douglas will be the first African-American since Dominique Dawes to do so since 2000. Douglas is vying for one of the five coveted spots on the women’s team.
As of right now, her stiffest competition is Jordyn Wieber, who emerged as an favorite heading into the London Games. But Gabby is making moves to take over that top spot.
“It is so great to have two strong people,” she said of the budding rivalry with Wieber in an interview. “I love the competition. It makes us better. She does a perfect routine. I’m going to do a perfect routine too.”
U.S. gymnastics officials will announce the team Sunday after the competition.

The Black Messiah will see that she makes the team. It’s unfortunate that our children are only introduced to basketball and football, but caucasian schools, have olympic size swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball courts and other sports to play besides basketball and football.
I went to an all caucasian junior high school, which looked like a college campus. It had an olympic size swimming pool, tennis court and they played sport before starting class!
Today, our schools have NO PHYSICAL EDUCATION classes, no music classes and no volleyball, baseball and other sports caucasians have the luxury to play. This is why this young lady is by herself because Black schools don’t have these sports.
This is why our schools suffer without good equipment, good books and good computers because the government is taking money from our schools and supplying them to caucasian schools.
Caucasians can get a scholarship by playing volleyball!!
SHE SHOULD MAKE THE TEAM, BUT BECAUSE SHE IS BLACK SHE IS GOING TO BE RIDICULED BY THE RACIST MEDIA.
