Jesse Jackson Jr. on Medical Leave, Blames ‘Exhaustion’

Jesse Jackson Jr.’s office says that he has been away from the office for the past two weeks and is being treated for exhaustion. He would not, however, say where he is being treated or what brought on this bout of tiredness. And the only thing Congressman Jackson would say about why he failed to disclose this news  to constituents before now is that it was a “family request.” Here’s the full story:

U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr is on medical leave and it is not clear when he will be back.  According to a short news release from Jackson’s office, he has been on medical leave since June 10 and is seeking treatment for exhaustion. In the release,  47 year old Jackson has requested that the public respect his family’s privacy.

It was reportedly noticeable among his congressional colleagues that he was missing from the House floor and he missed votes.

Earlier this year, Jackson had to put more effort into his campaign  because he had a strong opponent in U.S. Rep. Debbie Halvorson. He won even though he is the target of a House ethics investigation. He has also been busy with campaigning for a third airport in the Chicago area as well as opposing a proposed federal detention center for illegal immigrants.

How sick it is that negro men in politics will do anything to try and get a vote – keep their pay check, and care NOTHING about protecting and serving America. The only one I can see qualified to serve is Cory Booker.

II wish congressman Jackson well. He has a wealth of knowledge, the person that called him a pimp is ignorant.
Start reading and learning something. Fight the good fight and God will keep you. By the way he is fighting for a hike in minimum wages for people like .
