A blogger at BlackLifeCoaches.net makes the point that dating your best buddy might not be the best idea for a lasting relationship.  You think you know the person well, and maybe you do.  But being friends with a person is very different from dating them, where jealousy kicks in and you expect them to be exclusive to you.  Friendship doesn’t demand monogamy, and people sometimes forget that sleeping with and forming a life with someone is very different from  just being buddies.
