Meet CJ Senter, “The Workout Kid”

YourBlackworld.net Staff Writer

CJ Senter is amazing.  He’s an amazing kid who grew up playing football with his friends.  He decided after a while that there might be a market in personal training, so he decided to take the dive.  He’s only 10 years old, but is built like a little tank.  He has produced a series of 40-minute DVDs and is helping kids everywhere to get into shape.

Senter is making history as one of the youngest fitness experts in the country.  In a nation where kids are becoming more and more obese, children like CJ are a hot commodity.   He encourages kids to play outside for at least an hour every single day.   He even teaches older kids how to work out.

“I love working out so much because I get to stay fit and healthy,” Senter told MSNBC,, “and live a long healthy life.”

He also says that he loves to dance and plans to eventually have a TV show that encourages kids to get into shape.  Senter did an interview with MSNBC that we thought you might enjoy.  Take a look.

A little-known fact kids receiving enough physical exercise

Research has shown that contrary to popular belief, children’s media consumption does not necessarily displace vigorous physical activities. However, another factor related to media consumption that may contribute to the rising obesity rates in children is their exposure to heavy advertising and marketing of unhealthy foods. Children are exposed to around 40,000 ads per year, with the majority of the ads about candy, soda and fast food, according to a 2004 Kasier Family Foundation report.
