The family of a young man killed during an altercation with an off duty Baltimore County police officer is calling for his arrest.
“An arrest needs to be made,” Brown’s mother told reporters Monday afternoon at a relative’s home in Randallstown.
Christopher Brown died from asphyxiation during an altercation with officer James D. Laboard on June 13, police said.
Brown was with a group of teens when one threw a rock at the officer’s house, and the officer ran outside to confront them. The officer, 31 year old James D. Laboard, chased the teens until he caught up with Brown hiding in some bushes. An altercation ensued which left 17 year old Brown unconscious. Laboard allegedly called for help and tried to resuscitate the teen to no avail.

The truly sad thing is that the story merely warranted 150 words. We are talking about a life, a young man that was literally choked to death “it appears” by an OFF DUTY officer that has sworn to serve and protect. Now normally I would not find it pertinent, but yes I and going to pull the race card. We are SO USED to THEM doing it and getting away with it that we have lost our outrage. Just d**n disgusted.
