Serena Williams Thinks Female Tennis Players Should Make More Money Because They’re Hotter?

Obscure tennis players say the craziest things.  Unknown men’s tennis player Gilles Simon got into trouble for saying he believes the prize money for men in Grand Slam tournaments should be higher than for the women.

As it stands, prize money is equal.

Simon argued that “men’s tennis is ahead of women’s tennis,” but added no justification,  and then went on to say that  ”men spend twice as long on court as women do at Grand Slams,” which is true since the rules are somewhat different.

Serena Williams fired back at Simon today, telling Sports Illustrated that ”Definitely more people are watching Maria [Sharapova] than [Gilles] Simon; she’s way hotter than he is.”

Does that mean Simon should get less money because he’s not as hot and thus, gets less viewers?
