The Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists is taking issue with a Philly cartoonist.
The cartoon in question reportedly shows Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee, who is white, doing housework while what looks like a Black or Latino player with the word “Offense” written on his T-shirt sleeps on the couch.
“The Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists submits that this cartoon is racially insensitive. African American and Latino men are often stereotyped as being lazy and not wanting to work hard. The cartoon may suggest to readers that male athletes of color are lazy.”

I say this to Chris Murray, VP Print Media for the Phila Assn Of Black Journalist. If you want to realy see a true version of a lazy behind Negro sitting on his a**e doing nothing, look no further than at one of your own members. Yes, look at the self-rightwous FOOL, Marlon Millner. He is an unaccomplished, psuedo-journalistic NOBODY who CANNOT be counted on to do anything for anybody (except for himself) other than find fault, denigrate the accomplishments of others, project blame, and create conflict. Mr. Murray, clean up your own house before you start complaining about cartoon images. Go Flyers.

No such thing as an intelligent or a funny racist.

Frank:
I agree completely. But, after looking at the cartoon, I believe one have to really stretch it to consider it racist. Obviously, there are lot of people ready to call everything rasict and it must be those folks calling it racist. A case of “crying wolf” in my opinion. They should save the complaining for legitimate issues.
