Dr. Timothy Jorden is now the subject of a nation-wide manhunt for a suspect who authorities believe may be responsible for murdering his ex-girlfriend. Jorden is a t****a surgeon and former weapons expert in the military. His ex-girlfriend, Jacqueline Wisniewski , was afraid of him and feared for her life, according to friends.
Police are warning that Dr. Jorden could be armed and dangerous. They have committed all available resources to finding him, according to Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda.
“He’s out there somewhere,” Derenda said at a news conference.
The search for Dr. Jorden began Wednesday morning when 33-year old Wisniewski was found s**t to d***h in a stairwell at the Erie County Medical Center, where they both worked. Police say that all of Jorden’s vehicles have been accounted for, so they are unaware of how he is traveling. They are confident that he has not crossed the border into Canada yet.
Jorden has been licensed to practice medicine for 10 years. He has also worked as a role model for black youth in Buffalo. Betty Jean Grant, a chairwoman for the Erie County Legislature, says that she knew Dr. Jorden as a child and that he never got into any trouble.
“It’s tragic that a doctor who saved countless lives might be accused of taking someone else’s life,” she said. “It puts a dark cloud over the mission of a hospital that’s dedicated to saving lives.”
Heather Shipley, a friend of the victim, said that Wisniewski feared Dr. Jorden. They once lived together, but she left him because she felt he was having affairs with other women. The victim’s friend says that when they broke up, he wouldn’t let go. Shipley says that Wisniewski even said that the doctor put a tracking device on her car and held her in the house for an entire day at knife point.
“She told me if anything happened to her, that it was him,” Shipley told the station.
