Chelsea Harris of St. Francis County, Arkansas was arrested last night, June 19th 2012, for third degree battery for allegedly sitting on her landlord’s son, Kellen Carroll’s, face.
According to witnesses, the son went to collect rent money that Harris had owed and Harris, described as a larger woman, started to get angry. After cursing at Carroll, Harris pushed him into his truck and knocked him to the ground. She then proceeded to push his face into the dirt and choked him. Afterwards she got up and tried to take his truck, Carroll then started to scream for help. It is then that he reported she sat down on his face. After she finally released him, Carroll got up and went straight to the sheriff’s office and reported the attack.
“I tried to ignore it, but they was arguing about the rent,” said a witness who did not want to be identified due to her own trouble with her landlord. The witness lives in the duplex next door to Harris and was able to hear the argument outside her home.
Neighbors stated she worked at a prison and Carroll’s father believes that she had used correction officer moves to subdue his son. Neighbors also stated Harris had become enraged because Carroll had entered her duplex without warning.
“That’s why she got upset because he came in and her child was there,” the woman said. “Usually her child is not here.”
After spending one night behind bars for the incident, Harris was released from the police station

What do you mean that if the door was open she didn’t care who entered? Just because your door is open (fresh air, circulation in the house) does not give ANYONE the right to walk into your home without knocking – that is ridiculous!!

If he entered her apartment without knocking, that means the door was open, and she didn’t care who entered. Also, if he did enter without permission, he could be charged for unlawful entry.

he will knock next time…he had no business walking into her place even if his father is the landlord, it does not give him the right…
