Raynard Jackson Says it’s Possible That Republicans Can Win Over Some of the Black Vote

There’s been much discussion as of late as to whether African Americans would ever consider voting Republican. Black Democrat turned Republican Artur Davis recently told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that blacks will consider it once Obama’s out of office. He said African Americans are prepared to give Republicans a second look. Renard Jackson seems to agree somewhat, thinking that Republicans should put at least some of their eggs in the black vote basket:

Now that Romney is the defacto nominee for the Republican Party, I have been reflecting on the state of the presidential race as it enters the final stretch.  As a political strategist, I understand the necessity to run to the right during the Republican primary and then migrate to the center during the general election.

It is common knowledge that Romney has no intention of focusing on the Black vote during the general election.  From a raw political perspective, I agree with his approach, but from a strategic perspective, I totally disagree.  Below I will detail why this is a terrible strategy!

There is absolutely no question that Obama will get in excess of 90% of the Black vote (in 2008 he received 96%).  But this time he will receive 90+ % of a smaller number of Blacks—there will be fewer numbers of Blacks voting because they are disillusioned with Obama.  The first Obama run was history, his governing is a mystery when it comes to Blacks!

Obama’s recent endorsement of homosexual marriage and support for amnesty for illegals has infuriated the Black community.  The NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, etc. have not represented the views of the average Black for decades.  The NAACP will continue to hemorrhage support from within the Black community.  Many Blacks are publically withdrawing their memberships and support from this group.

Under skilled Blacks are livid that Obama wants to legalize over 1 million new people into the workforce to compete with them for jobs.  It’s hard enough competing with Americans for jobs, now you have to compete with those in the country illegally for jobs?  Who in their right minds feeds the neighborhood while their own children are starving?  Nobody, but Obama.

U R a fool. MLK was a REPUBLICAN and only became a democrat when Kennedy agreed to get him out of jail, IF he would change parties and deliver the black vote.

Abraham Lincoln was a republican. In case you dont know, he freed the slaves.

If the republicans were low down enough to PAY jesse jackson, steve harvey, tom joyner, and the other negro leaders more than the democrats, they’d gladly brainwash the masses into voting republican.

The ONLY way to make an intelligent decision on voting is to KNOW the issues YOU care about, find out who supported your issues in the past, and listen to all the network and STOP letting PAID negroes tell u what to do.

The most irritating thing that I see daily on blogs, social media are issues with the president from African Americans playing the dumb role of what have you done for me lately with the President of the US I am so sick of us we so d**n busy rating and raving about him not doing anything for us, but what are you doing for us, you about as dumb as the republicans going to let us be conquered again because he didn’t pick your orange today, this is the best time for black america to stand up together than any time in History, can’t you see whats really going on standing their with your slave mentality PHD and doing nothing, they always gone keep y’all down cause your right in your own eyes but you are as wrong as the left shoe on the right look at all these young men killing each other in the street pull together and get something done about present it to the president or eric holder and see where you can help, this election is more crucial to you than you realize but if you choose to go ahead and kill your brother for a bowl of porridge or thinking you not suppose to uphold him your are extremely wrong and when the knock comes at your door don’t you dare blame one person because you don’t know how to lift up a standard against the enemy, you keep thinking the enemy is your brother but its you. Here’s a easy tune for you to remember from the movie The Color Purple…God is trying to tell you something and I don’t care who you say your God is He’s trying to give you back your birthright.
