Job Applicant Was Asked by a Company if She Was “Saved”

What do you do if you go to a job interview and your potential employer asks “When were you saved?” Does that mean that you can’t get the job if your soul isn’t saved? That’s what happened with a company in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it’s caused a great deal of controversy.

Some companies are Christian companies. They are corporations for sure, but they are also steeped in religious tradition.

Such is the case with Voss Lighting Company of Lincoln, Neb., which, in an online statement, outlines its “Biblical mission” of selling lighting products while also telling everyone about “God’s soul-saving, life transforming gospel message.”
