Group Advocating for Color Blind America, But Loves to Tell Racist Jokes
The Tea Party has been working for years to shake its racist reputation. Well, it’s not going to help its cause when it begins party functions with clearly racist jokes. A Tea Party chapter in Arkansas loves to begin its functions with a joke about how all black people are on welfare, that they are lazy and that they blame black people for all of their problems. It’s no surprise when the joke gets a hardy laugh.
Members of the Tea Party have been deflecting charges of racism for some time. According to them, they’re colorblind, and all claims of racism have been
fabricated by the “liberal elite”. Well, if that’s true, someone should’ve told the Arkansas Tea Partiers who recently kicked off their rally with a racist joke:

Another generalization. Very few tea party members are racist…its too bad that a few tell a joke and the country thinks that their ALL a bunch of backwoods racist rednecks, and that couldnt be farther from the truth. You’d be surprised how many black and latino tea party memebers there are. For work I have to attend alot of events and have been to a few of these rallys, I’m black and I’ve never felt unaccepted or uncomfortable…I’ve never heard a racist work at them. Just because the ignorant speaker tells a joke or makes a commment doesn’t mean theyre all like that. And not liking Obama doesn’t make you a racist. Tea Partyers believe in the constitution and just want to be able to raise their kids in a safe place without the government dictating exactly when and how they have to do everything…as do I.
