A hot new radio show is on the air on weekends in Detroit and Washington DC. ”Weekend with Ed Gordon” is getting favorable reviews and features a strong lineup, including Dr. Boyce Watkins, Judge Glenda Hatchett, Judge Lynn Toler and comedian Joe Torry. The show brings a strong mix of music, commentary, comedy and conversation that is going over quite well with audiences thus far.

As is the case with anything worth doing, you have to have a game plan. Here’s how it’s going to go down:
- Star Story will give an inside look at the careers and lives of some of the biggest names in music while “That’s My Jam” will have celebrities and newsmakers talk about the song they couldn’t stop rewinding back in the day.
- Judge Lynn Toler of “Divorce Court will give relationship advise while “Legal Letters with Judge Hatchett” will feature Judge Glenda Hatchett fielding legal questions from listeners. Sounds like this show is “down by law” already!
- Meanwhile “Hot Topics with Boyce Watkins” will feature the famed social blogger as he takes on the week’s hot topics.
- Joe Torry will be bringing his unique comedy to the fore as he looks at headlines and news from around the world.

Doc Watkins, is this a show that is 100 percent owned and controlled by blacks? Or just more of the same old mess where blacks do not have the freedom of speech to speak to any and all issues that they want to? Such as the horrendous racism that Jews are subjecting the Palestinians, Ethiopian Jews and Christians to, and all blacks and whites can say a d**n thing about on the American media. But are, instead, always under the control of whites and Jews. So just tell me one thing, is this 100 percent black-owned and controlled? And if not, I will not be part of it, because I am no longer a slave nor servant to whites, nor anti-Jesus Jews. — Rev. George Brooks

If they are going to have this stupid race baiting, corporate spy, Dr. Boyce, on it, I will not be listening. This b*****d, along with Tavis Smiley, and Cornell West, are sellouts to the Black community, and President Obama, and should be shunned.

I’ve always felt that Judge Hatchett is an asset to the world comunity. She was helpful and integrous to young people. That’s why she not on. She was socially and morally astute, no buffonary on her show. Totally substanive and committed to the upliftment of our people and all people. She shared her resources ans always offered solutions.She healed hearts ans had compassion for people. I celebrate and honor all of her work.
