The new Egyptian president is working to make history with the appointment of a woman and a Christian to important Vice Presidential posts. This is a big move for a country that has long shunned these types of political decisions. Some say that the moves are an effort by Egyptian leadership to turn the corner and move into a new era of politics. It appears to be working, since the decisions are being applauded all around the globe.
KultureKritic.com tells more:
Mohamed Morsi, the first democratically elected president of Egypt, will appoint a woman and a Christian as his Vice Presidents.
“For the first time in Egyptian history—not just modern but in all Egyptian history—a woman will take that position,” presidential policy advisor Ahmed Deif told Christiane Amanpour of CNN Monday. “And it’s not just a vice president who will represent a certain agenda and sect, but a vice president who is powerful and empowered and will be taking care of critical advising within the presidential Cabinet.”

Kudos to President Morsi of Egypt, and I hope he will give Israel h**l for their mistreatment and racism toward the Palestinians, Ethiopian Jews, Sudanese and Christians that live in Israel. And I hope he refuses to keep taking the $1.6 billion that they have been getting to be pals with the U.S. And then we blacks can ask for that amount as part of our reparations, which myself and my group will start pushing for just as soon as the next election is over, no matter who is elected president. And we need to ask for the amount that is also going to those anti-Jesus Jews in Israel, which is even more. Again, congrats to Morsi on winning, and his plans to appoint a woman to a top office, as well as a Christian, so I have heard. — Rev. George Brooks
