Mother Abandons Kids to Go Search for God; She is Later Found Dead in the River

Tragedy struck in Alabama when a mother left her five year old and two year old on the side of the road as she left to “Go find God.”  The mother had been having a difficult time as of late, and it appears that it was too much.  The young children were later found down the road, all by themselves, and the mother was found at the bottom of a nearby lake.  The story reminds us to encourage one another to seek help when we are having hard times.  It’s never the end of the world.  BlackBlueDog.com tells more:

Police say they found a woman who left her kids on the side of the road to go look for God.  The mother’s body was found near a river.  According to the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, Lamona Fields Bender took her kids’ clothes off, leaving her five year old and two year old in the car.   The children were found two miles away from the car, and told police that their mother had gone to “look for God.”

    Derrick, I think its safe to say that mental illness, and not a true quest for God is the cause of this tragedy. We, as a community, need to become more aware of the warning signs in hopes that future tragedies like this one can be avoided.

      The bottom line Tracey, is that you never know the warning signs when somebody wants to do something. Especially, when they have made up their minds to do it…it’s a done deal!

      She knew what she was going to do because she did not want to harm her children. At least she left them to live. Most xtians blame everthing on god, but fail to mention that the spirit of the devil is alive and kicking. This was an act of the spirit of the devil; not god.

      I was told that god is a ‘good’ god. How can this be an act of god and it ended in death? Is this god y’all serve wicked like the devil?

      Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die, well; at least she wasn’t afraid to go ‘look’ for him.

      IF XTIANS ARE SO GOD-LIKE, WHY ARE THEY SO FULL OF WICKEDNESS?

      There is a good read by the late Ishakamusa Barashanga entitled “GOD, THE BIBLE AND THE BLACK MAN’S DESTINY”.

      This book is to ENLIGHTEN Black folks, who are hopelessly clinging to the white man’s con-cept of religion.

      It is designed to combat the ERRONEOUS idea that religion and LIBERATION do not mix. – Doctor Ishakamusa Barashango

      WE NEED A BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY
      Liberation = to deliver from slavery; to set free;

      negroes ain’t free!

    This god mess got negroes messed up!

    Psalm 82:6 reads: “I have said, Ye are gods and all of your are children of the Most High.”

    The Black Messiah wrote this; I didn’t!!!

    When negroes start realizing that ‘god’ is in them, then perhaps they’ll come from under the wings of worshipping a caucasian diety, who is really the devil!

    IT’S THE GOD IN YOU = Mary Mary
