Blast from the Past: Farrakhan and Tavis Smiley Talk Obama, Black America in 2010

Now that we’ve had a little time to reflect on the Obama presidency, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at what people were predicting three years ago.  This conversation between Tavis Smiley and Louis Farrakhan is interesting and informative, leading us to try to determine what the next step is for black America.  At Your Black World, we believe that all African Americans, from all backgrounds should be involved in the dialogue and that everyone should have a seat at the table of conversation.  Check it out on BlackBlueDog.com:

In this video, which is two years old but highly relevant, a group of African American public figures gathers for a conversation about the state of black America in the age of Obama.  Two years later, we have  had a chance to see the Obama presidency up close, so it’s interesting to see if the assessments of Obama by Smiley and Farrakhan have come to fruition.  Is Barack Obama the president that we expected him to be back in 2008?
