Tyler Perry isn’t getting the response from Diana Ross that he expects, given that he’s made gobs of hit films. Most black actors and actresses are clamoring for the chance to be in one of Tyler’s films, but Diana has been giving him the cold shoulder. There is no word on why Ross hasn’t been interested, but one thing that is clear is that he is calling her out in public. Tyler has reported to numerous media outlets that he is going to keep trying until he can get Diana to join him in a project. But maybe Diana’s tired and old, and not interested in trying to make it big anymore.

Tyler Perry has both landed some of the top names in the entertainment and launched the careers of many more.
He’s worked with Cicely Tyson, Idris Elba, Kathy Bates, Thandie Newton and Kimberly Elise. And his movies helped land China McClain of “Daddy’s Little Girls” a role on a Disney show.
But one star Perry say’s he can’t seem to get in touch with is Diana Ross. In a recent Essence interview, Perry says he’s dreamed of working with the music icon, but she hasn’t returned his calls.

I was going to plead with Diana Ross, who was and is an entertainer, but not a clown, to please stay away from Tyler Perry’s “Amos and Andy” type mess. But it seems that many of you have already taken up the issue very well. (ha) So I’ll just briefly say, stay away Diana, while Perry and his crowd keeps degrading us black folks. It’s insane how so many people down Tyler Perry. I don’t remember this much of a ruckus when Flip Wilson played Geraldine, Eddie Murphy play almost all of his characters in the Nutty Professor and some of his other movies, or when Martin Lawrence played Big Momma. Why is Tyler so bad for doing the same thing? He is putting a lot of people to work. No, his movies aren’t Academy Award caliber, but I have enjoyed every one of them that I have seen.

It’s ironic how so many black love to watch updated coonery,coonims being pimped by a black person.Now,when the white man does it black people get all mad and poke their lips out.
Since this guy has been doing it,any time another black has something to say about him other black’s love to say ” hey n@gg@ !!! you just hating and jealous of him making money.Real ironic how dumbed downed and brainwashed so many black’s have become into accepting coonism and connery.it’s a actually a sell-out.I would rather watch old clips of

With all the qualified Black Women who could play the roles Tyler perry plays as a cross dresser, why didn’t he hire someone like Loretta Devine to play the female parts he’s been playing. These films, in my opinion, amount to excessive “BUFFOONERY” which further degrades the image of Black/African people, especially Black Men.
Maybe Diana Ross has a higher sense ob Morals.

Perhaps what would make her to come out of retirement is something of quality and obviously that’s NOT Tyler Perry. With age comes wisdom. Diana Ross is probably ignoring him because she has good taste. lol
Making a lot of money doesn’t mean quality as Tyler Perry and far too many blacks (rappers comedians actors etc) in the entertainment industry has proven. Diana Ross is old enough to remember the minstrels shows and black men having to dress up as women to appease whites. Tyler Perry has cashed in like a lot of black entertainers have and brought those days back. I applaud Diana Ross for ignoring his a*s.

Don’t do it Tyler,you don’t need her and that phoney fake hair.Tylers movies are funny and each has a moral to it.Those of you who call it bufoonery are blind to the message,don’t go to the movie like he cares.Diana had to always be the center of attention,so much she slept with Barry Gordy and had a child by him.When her partner in that singing group she made herself the leader of,died.She had to be the center of attention there also,grand entrance,sat alone.Don’t hear anything about that rich white man she married anymore,party over?Forget her,there’s plenty of talent out there Tyler.

Really David2001, it’s obvious that you have no taste. I doubt that you’ve ever seen a minstrel show to be comparing Mr. Perry’s work to. We all have an opinion, and I have no problem with disagreeing with yours. Read a good book. I love Tyler Perry’s plays and most of his movies. Take a ticket to see “Savages” that sounds like your speed.

The fact that you are on here praising Tyler Perry tells me you wouldn’t know a “good book” if it bit you in the a*s. I judge Diana Ross on her career as a performer, her body of work as a actress and singer NOT her personal life. I don’t give a darn about her personal life. A personal life which I or YOU know little about not unless you’re into gossip. If we judge Tyler Perry his buffoonery is on display for all to see, at least those of us with good taste and intelligence which you obviously don’t have.
As far as me seeing a minstrel show. I grew up in the 60s and I admit I’ve never seen a LIVE minstrel show and don’t have to know what it is and it’s intent. There’s something called a library with a lot of “books” you know the ones you claim to read. You’re the one talking about a “good book” the library has some good history books there too. Or here’s another novel ideal just type “minstrel” in Google and all kinds of video come up. I don’t have to live history to know it dummy. Only a fool would imply something like that.
You and other black women that made Tyler Perry rich buying his stupidity and buffoonery simply because he sold weak ignorant women like you heaping spoonfuls of victimization. In many ways you are no better than the many young black males who support idiotic black rappers. So long as they tell you what you want to hear you buy it.
My first comment was direct and to the point about Perry’s work professionally. You and others on here are attacking Diana Ross personally and I doubt any of you know her personally! You and others on here are getting bent out of shape over a man who you don’t know who doesn’t give a darn about you and other women other than to exploit your weaknesses for profit. I never heard of the film Savages but perhaps you ought to give Perry movies a break and get a life if you have one…now that’s my opinion.
