A recent study in the Journal of Pediatrics shows that children are heavily influenced by the lifestyle choices of their friends.  The impact of peer influence goes beyond attitudes and behaviors and also impacts levels of physical activity.  Children who have friends that are not physically active tend to be less active themselves.
