Brandy Says She’s Too Boring For Reality TV, Wants More Scripted Shows

Get ready to see more of Brandy on your TV screen.  And, no she’s not starring in a new reality show.  She’s getting back to scripted television. In fact, she’s over reality tv.

“I don’t want to do reality shows,” Brandy said. I watch reality shows here and there, but I don’t think I work well on reality shows. I think I’m too boring for reality. It’s much more fun playing somebody else.”

Brandy also addressed it from the business side of things:

“It’s not that you have to compete [with other shows], but if you look at things from a business standpoint, you want to get the kind of ratings that the ‘Basketball Wives’ are getting.”

And Brandy says that the arguing a fighting that some of the women on the most popular reality series is just not her.

Fans can catch Brandy on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva.” She landed a recurring role on the series and will play Elisa, the ex of an attorney played by Josh Stamberg. She first appeared on the series when she surprised her ex by revealing he was the father of her child.

“I relate to her in so many ways, just being a mother, having her heart broken, I’ve been through everything she’s been through, probably more,” she said in an interview with Sister 2 Sister.
