In hip hop and R& B, you rarely hear of an artist coming out of the closet. Sure, there are certainly artists who we suspect are gay, but we never know for sure. They never risk the backlash of what coming out of the closet could mean in the black community. Black preachers are still steaming about President Obama’s stance on gay marriage, so the reluctance is understandable, but singer Frank Ocean bared all in declaring that his first love was a man:
First Obama leads the charge on gay rights, then Anderson Cooper declares his sexuality and now Kanye West’s protegé and R&B singer Frank Ocean from the hip-hop collective Odd Future declares his homosexuality as well. Instead of the Star Spangled Banner we should all be singing something more along the lines of ”’tis the season [...]

I’m sure that many of you have received an incomplete story in regards to his “coming out”. He didn’t just roll down the street shouting “I’m gay!” to the tunes of Diana Ross. He released a letter that he intended to be in the liner notes of his new album explaining that his first love was a man. This served as an explanation of sorts for some of the songs which were rumored to be directed to a man. The “private business” of his sexuality was never private because he is a celebrity and is under constant scrutiny. Furthermore, he is an artist and something as innate as his sexuality would have surfaced in his work sooner or later.

Have people forgotten they live in America, a land where permissiveness is thought to be “freedom.” Thanks to this belief of a so-called, “freedom,” this legal system protects the rights of individual according to the Constitution of the United States.
Now although, I don’t agree with this lifestyle of homosexuality, I often read where there are quotes from the Bible concerning this issue or groups denouncing Obama’s who by the way represents the Constitution and not the BIBLE or personal beliefs, most Black churches have a gay organist or choir leader and say nothing!!!
My point is, Blacks need to differentiate the politics of this nation from what is clear in its Constitution……separation of church and state; one’s individual liberties are protected under the law….MAN’S LAWS!!!

Its his/their life/lives and they have the right to march to the beat of their own drum. At least he does not have to reflect back on his life with the woulda, coulda, shoulda, thoughts as a weapon. I rather see him positively involved with someone of the same s*x than going out here…RAPING,ROBBING AND KILLING OFF HIS OWN KIND OVER SOMETHING STUPID SUCH AS A PAIR OF SNEAKERS that are not even produced in the USA!
By the way, no one promised and guaranteed us that this will be a total and complete heterosexual country and the same could be said of homosexuality..NEVER has been and Never will be…

You are right Miss Jay , they are confused and the Prez said there is nothing wrong with their confusion, do not keep it in the closet come out and tell all and be proud of being confused. May the word of God be confirmed they are turned over to a reprobate mind to dishonor their bodies among themselves.
