Hmmmm: Kobe Bryant Says Rape Case Made Him a Better Person
It’s not that we don’t get where Kobe is going with this, but it does seem a bit strange. LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant, in a moment of reflection, talked about the rape allegations thrown against him back in 2003. Bryant has recovered in stellar fashion, getting endorsements from the best companies and really getting his life back on track. But the funny thing is that when you talk about a rape case, there is a delicate conversation during which you have to watch every little thing you say. To say that the rape case “made you a better person” shows that Bryant grew from his ordeal, but just seems a bit awkward.
But no matter how you view Kobe’s strange case nine years ago, you can’t deny that he’s back on top of the world. We just hope that he wasn’t actually guilty, since he did pay the woman to go away. There is also the little issue about Bryant having unprotected s*x with a woman he’d met the same day who’d had s*x with several men during the same week. We’re sure that his wife Vanessa was thrilled to hear that one.

Speaking with Graham Bensinger Kobe admitted that this period was a very “dark time” in his life. He says that it challenged him as a person, and when you are challenged, you are sometimes forced to grow.
