Mitt Romney has been making news as of late because of a gaffe he made in London, but now it’s gotten so bad that even Olympic great Carl Lewis is taking
shots at him.
When asked whether he thought the city was ready to host the Olympics, Romney was skeptical. “It’s hard to know just how well it will turn out,” he said. “There are a few things that were disconcerting — the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials. That obviously is not something which is encouraging.”
Unsurprisingly, that didn’t sit well with Brits. London’s mayor mocked Romney in front of 60,000 people, a London based newspaper called him a twit, and former Olympic track superstar and nine time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis told The Independent, ”seriously, some Americans just shouldn’t leave the country.”
