Just one week after Frank Ocean made an announcement about being gay, the rapper Murs is seen in his latest video dropping a big smooch on another man. President Obama made an announcement earlier this year in support of gay marriage, which has made this into the year of the homosexual. As a result, artists left and right are publicly declaring their sexuality and even rappers are able to actually boost album sales by admitting that they are gay, rather than hiding in the closet.
Murs new video is called “Animal Style,” where the artist plays Roderick, a high school student who is in love with another man. Never heard of Murs before? Neither have we. But we’re assuming that you’re going to hear all about him, now that he’s come out of the closet. Good for him.
Star Jones recently caused controversy by stating that many public figures admit that they are gay when trying to boost their ratings or record sales. Anderson Cooper on CNN made the announcement just a month ago, which “just happens” to be at the same time that CNN hit a 20-year ratings low.
Murs is an acronym for “Making The Universe Recognize and Submit” or “Making Underground Raw s**t.” He’s not exactly Jay-Z, but appears to have been able to make a living in his music. We also have no confirmation that he’s actually admitting to being gay. We just know that he kisses a man in his video.

Most of the gay people or confused, b/c they are trying to except the fact that they made a choice to be gay and at the same time trying to understand why they like/love men and women of the same s*x….Women is thinking the same thing…People have werid thoughts, but you dont have to play them out. Obama’s GOVERNMENT policies greatly affect SOCIAL CHANGE.
When black america said it was OK for their black prez to make laws encouraging homosexuality, they didn’t have the foresight to understand the the BIGGEST group affected by this legislation would be BLACK boy, who have a 60% fatherless rate. What a dark and depressing video. It’s obvious that this video is full of double talk and contradiction that would only further a young persons confusion. This is such an irresponsible song and video. As a person who has lost a very close relative to suicide, shame on you! Anyone involved in creating this garbage, shame on you. This is grossly irresponsible and highly toxic. And this is not a judgement on gay people either. As a matter of fact, this has nothing to do with spreading a loving message about gay people. The underlining purpose of this video is to confuse our youth and spread a satanic agenda. God help this world.

I am a heterosexual man and even I saw the purpose behind the video.The video has nothing to do with Murs’ personal s****l orientation. The video and song was made in my opinion to exploit the issues of hate against the gay community and one of the many consequences of it. It speaks on the issue of self hatred out of fear of being ostracized by one’s peers for “coming out”, the hate that is spread by the people who are connected to the recently discovered gay person and it also exposes the issue of young gays killing themselves as some feel that’s the only way they can be at peace with themselves. I don’t condone nor support homosexuality, but what a person does in their bedroom is their business and there’s only one judge whom we will all face that can do the judging. Videos like this and announcements like the one Frank Ocean made are brought out to the public to support propaganda and build up dialogue for the issues they feel need to be addressed. People really need to quit rushing to quick judgement and see the bigger picture before they perpetuate ignorance among one another, as it holds back many people’s intellectual growth. Lorraine who posted earlier, is right, people are so quick to gobble up what the media presents instead of dissecting it for themselves and seeing through the bs.
