Shellie Zimmerman, the wife of the man who killed Trayvon Martin, has pleaded not guilty of perjury this week after being charged by Florida authorities. Prosecutors are claiming that the woman lied about the money that the family had access to during George Zimmerman’s bond hearing, which is crime.
Shellie’s attorney has filed a plea of not guilty and waived her right to appear in court on the arraignment, set to take place on Tuesday. She was charged on June 12 and released on $1,000 bond.
The court is alleging that George and Shellie failed to reveal that they’d collected $135,000 from donors on a website they’d set up to fight the charges against him.
