Cheney: McCain Should Not Have Picked Palin; It Was a Mistake

d**k Cheney did not hold back when he spoke about the 2008 elections, saying that Sen. John McCain should never have chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate because she was not qualified for the position.

In 2008 when McCain was the presidential nominee  for the Republican party, Palin, the then Governor of Alaska, was tapped at a late stage to be his running mate. Some of the possible candidates that McCain picked were either turned down by his delegates, or themselves declined to run with him.

When Cheney ended up being President George W. Bush’s running mate, he had originally been the individual running the search committee for a Vice President pick but Bush picked him in the end.
