Chick-fil-A President Makes a Public Stand Against Gay Marriage

If you ever notice that there is a steep decline of gay Americans writing on their Facebook pages about how much they love Chick-fil-A, you’ll now know why.  The president of the company has come out and made a very bold stand against gay marriage, stating that marriage is union between one man and one woman.

The Chick-fil-A president has made these stands in the past, for example, by keeping his restaurants closed on Sundays.  The company is one of the few corporations in America that is willing to give up millions of dollars in order to respect their Christian beliefs.

Is that a good thing or bad thing?  It’s hard to say.  All we know is that people are taking notice.

Chick-fil-A has been criticized for supporting anti-gay Christian companies but until recently, they had generally not commented much on the matter.

In a recent interview with the Baptist Press, Chick-fil-A founder’s son and President of the restaurant chain, ruffled some feathers with his rather flippant response  to the chain’s “support of the traditional family.”

“Well, guilty as charged.” said Dan Cathy.

Cathy went on to clarify that the company is “very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit.”
