You officially know that the end of an era is near when your legends start to die. The latest to join the ancestors is Ms. Melodie from Boogie Down Productions. The story about Ms. Melodie, which appears on Reason4Rhymes.com, is one about a woman who was part of the beginnings of arguably the most powerful musical genre on earth. She got a chance to live a life that was full of excitement and innovation and stood on the stage back when hip hop meant more than booty, bling and gun play.
We are going to miss Ms. Melodie and expect that she’ll be rocking the halls of heaven when she gets there. Reason4Rhymes.com tells more:
It is being reported that Ms. Melodie from Boogie Down Productions has died. Ramona Parker is her real name, and she spent a big part of her life rocking the mic with her ex-husband, KRS-One. Her first album release was called “Diva,” released in 1989. Her most memorable hit was “Live on Stage.”
