Nas Collabs with the Late, Troubled and Talented Amy Winehouse in His New Album

Everyone knew that Amy Winehouse was probably going to die.  They just didn’t know when.  The saddest part of this song bird’s early death is that she was legendary in her singing ability, yet defiant against anyone who tried to intervene.  But even though Winehouse is no longer with us, her music will live forever.  Her collaboration with the rapper Nas is expected to be hot and some are saying that it is.

Ironically, Amy paired up with a lot of rappers to do a remix to her song “Rehab,” where she sings about refusing to go to rehab because she doesn’t have the time.  It’s sad that Amy’s self-destructive nature drove her into the studio with hip hop artists, many of whom are teaching black men to destroy themselves as well.

Reason4Rhymes.com tells more:

The late soulful songstress, Amy Winehouse collaborated with some of hip-hop’s best including Jay-Z on her “Rehab” remix, Ghostface Killah.

Then, with the posthumous release off “Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures” we got the Amy and Nas collaborations, “Like Smoke” produced by Salaam Remi.

Fans of that Amy and Nas collabo got another taste of the magic that could happen when the two paired up with Nas’  “Cherry Wine.”
