Author Says Predators in the Black Church Can Keep Women Single, Sad and Lonely
Black women are the most religious group of people in the United States. If you listen to what you see and hear on television, you easily discern that African American women have a lot to pray about. When it comes to love and relationships, black women are the most likely to be single and the most likely to catch nearly every STD in the book. They also struggle the most economically.
Some are trying to say that part of the reason STD and out-of-wedlock birthrates are on the rise is because many black women are led astray by the men in their lives. Taught by their pastors that they should only consider dating a man who goes to church, many of these women end up with the same man who is preying on the entire front row of the church, and leading more than his fair share of women astray. Author Deborrah Cooper feels strongly about this issue and in an interview with Dr. Boyce Watkins, Deborrah says that rather than just relying on spiritual leaders and false prophets to tell them what to do with their lives, black women might be better off thinking a bit more for themselves.

Deborrah Cooper is the author of an interesting new book: “The Black Church: Where Women Pray and Men Prey.” Cooper has written extensively about the state of black women on the dating scene and their quest to find Mr. Right. Unfortunately for too many women, Mr. Right is actually “Mr. I Don’t Give a d**n,” leading some to wonder about the state of black love and relationships.
I met Deborrah a couple of years ago when she wrote a highly compelling article entitled, “How the Black Church Keeps Women Single and Lonely.” Deb’s article got millions of reads, which is extraordinary for a piece that is focused on a specific demographic. Even the article I wrote about her article got several hundred thousand views back when I used to do my thing for AOL Black Voices (you know, the company that was ruined by Arianna Huffington – it’s sad, but most black online media outlets are ultimately controlled by white people).

What happened during the diaspora of Africans in the world? What happened to the Africans that remained on the African continent? What was the history of the African people before the trans-atlantic voyage?
The culture, faith, language and names were forbidden in America. All they knew was replaced with European culture,faith, language and names.
If you read about the Romans and their interaction with the African people, then you would understand how Christianity as we know today came to be. Christianity is the religion of Europeans used to control, brainwash and a divide/conquere tatic.
Religion and Spirituality are two different things. Religion is man-made. Spirituality comes from the soul.
Africans brought to America were taugth Christianity by their oppessors, the Africans in the Carribean were taught Christianity by their French oppressors. The Africans left on the continent of Africa was taught Christianity by the British.
They branded Africans as barbaric and uncivilized people. They didn’t understand their culture or spirituality, so in order to “Control”, they introduced an entire group of people to what amounts to fables and lies. Those fables and lies have been passed from generation to generation, all while exploiting Africans to their evil imperialism that raped, killed and terrorized them.
It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it is what it is!

In Africa not only was Christianity used to control Africans, but Islam as well. Arabs enslaved Africans as well and used Islam to control Africans.
Don’t you think it’s strange there are no Africans today in Egypt or any part of the Middle East? The few that are there are out of sight out of mind. Who do you think built the pyramids in Egypt? They will never admit it was Africans.
Know your history. It’s a direct path to knowing how all this stuff Black people have been brainwashed to believe. You can have all the book smarts, but if you don’t know your history, you will be caught up in a make believe world and go along with the same barbaric and uncivilized mentality of those that oppressed Black people in the first place.

Wow….many times when one speaks on brain washing techniques during slavery…CHRISTIANITY IS ALWAYS MENTION…the whit man’s religion used to enslave Africans and destroy their culture and history…
Well what amazes me is that majority of the peoples in the BIBLE are people of ethnicity…having various hues…diverse lanquages of various tribes. Jesus himself WAS NOT LILY WHITE…if one studies the Nazerenes…Jewish Culture…the HITITES, MOABITES, KENITES. AMALEKITES…ETC. PLEASE STUDY….THEY WERE NOT LILY WHITE AS SOME WERE BRAINWASHED TO BELIEVE….THE 4 RIVERS THAT FLOWED FROM THE GARDEN OF EDEN WAS ACTUALLY 1 THAT DIVIDED INTO 4 RIVERS, ‘…the name of the first is Pushing, it flows around the whole land of HAVILAH, where there is GOLD…& the gold of that land is good, the bdellium & the onus stone are there,, & the name of the 2nd river is Gihon, it flows from the whole land of CUSH…the name of the 3 rd river is Tigris, and it flows east of Assyria, & the 4th river is the Euphrates…read GENESIS chapter 2 vs.10-15…or the entire chapter!
The Garden of Eden was either in Africa or Egypt…
One should STUDY SEVERELY B4 THEY CALL THE BIBLE A EUROCENTRIC BOOK. IT’S GODS WORD THAT SOME IGNORANT, RACIST WHITE PEOPLE USED TO BLIND MANY FROM THE TRUTH! note: not all caucasins are racists.
Also Muslims..aka Arabs were the first to sell their people into the Atlantic Slave Trade…for guns..mere weapons etc.

This article sounds ridiculous. How many churches did the author visit for her research how many subjects were interviewed? I would need to verify before believing any of this…
