Gay Pride’s Opposite: Today is Gay Hate Day in Cameroon

Yes, you read the title right. Today is Gay Hate Day in Camerooon, the opposite of Gay Pride,I suppose. A group called Rassemblement de la Jeunesse Camerounaise association (Cameroonian Youth Rally) has deemed August 21st as ‘Gay Hate Day’ in Cameroon.

The Global Post reports:

In a sick inversion of a gay pride parade, Hate Day will be the first annual “celebration” against homosexuality in Carmeroon. Human rights leaders across the continent have condemned the idea and are calling on Cameroonian President Paul Biya to “take a stand against discrimination and decriminalize homosexuality.”

You know what me more pride about my country is people keep saying. The poorest country of the western hemisphere we are this we are that. But thanks God we are not narrow minded people. It remind me back in the 1980s There was a gay guy ,he always come from the capital on summer vacation to the village and spend the summer with his family. All of us kids in the village always fantasize by the way he washes clothes ironing the clothes and how he cooks good like a woman and he always clean .But 30 years later none of us kids are gays or lesbians .Any time he came to the village we always happy to see him.To us it s the way he was born and there is nothing anyone can do about it.I dont have to tell you the name of my country you already know because its like a song to everybody in the world the poorest country of the western hemisphere at least we dont have time to discriminate against gays and .And we are not going on rampage to kill them they had their rally peacefully couple years ago.Me and a lot of straight guys was stand by the sidewalk and watch one of them came and kiss me it was ok because that doesnt make me gay because of that.
