Sybrina Fulton, the mother of the late Trayvon Martin, is being sued by an insurance company that is trying to avoid paying the family for the death of her son. Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America is suing Ms. Fulton and The Retreat at Twin Lakes Homeowner’s Association, which is the community where Martin was shot in February.
The company is arguing that it’s not responsible for the loss, largely due to a “wrongful act” exclusion in his policy.
Just one month after Martin was killed, the homeowner’s association took out a liability policy with Travelers, which is about when Sybrina filed a claim for financial compensation for her son’s death.

I’m not understanding this Insurance policy she should wait until after Zimmerman trial. This is when you sue for wrongful death, why would you take out any type of Insurance after a death? it want pay i just don’t inderstand.

if the policy was not enforce when he died, she doesn’t have a claim.
wrongful death suits usually happen after the perp has been convicted. she should be suing zimmerman i think.
