Jesse Jackson Jr. Remains on the Ballot, In Spite of His Medical Situation

You might call him a lot of things, but you can never call him a quitter.   Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., who has been embattled with mental illness issues, has not yet taken his name off the ballot for re-election.  Jackson was sent to the Mayo Clinic a few weeks ago for depression and “gastrointestinal issues.”   Not much else has been disclosed to the public.

“The campaign is continuing to go forward,” Kevin Lampe told The Root. Jackson’s wife Sandi is an alderman in the 7^th Ward on the South Side of Chicago.
