A pastor out of Compton, California has been arrested on suspicion of molesting two girls, one of which was just 11 years old when the crimes began.
Anthony Lavon Smith, a 47-year old man, was taken into custody by police this week while he picked up a friend at a local high school.
Police Capt. Randy DeAnda said that he believes that there are other victims besides the ones they know about.
“We do believe that there are other victims at his church, and we’ll be contacting the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detective bureau to let them know about our investigation,” DeAnda said.
Smith allegedly did his dirty work at Jericho Baptist Assembly in Compton, where he’s been the pastor since 2001.

Being a child molested myself, knowing that this man presented himself a man of God absolutely astounds me. It sickens me in ways I can’t even form into words. I will lift this into prayer, as we know there is nothing God doesn’t know, nothing God can’t heal, and God says vengeance is His. I pray for all the familys involved, and the church that Gods will be done. I know the pain, emptiness, smell, not wanting to be touch, not understanding, the darkness, and the long healing of the girls molested so if there is in anyway I can be there, because I am a survivor; now 50 years old.Please write.
