Robin Roberts from “Good Morning America” is feeling worse than she’d expected. The popular host recently announced on the air that she’s going to take off sooner than she’d originally planned, in large part to deal with a life-threatening medical condition.
Roberts has been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, also known as MDS. This week, she told the country that she is going to take some much needed time off.
“Well a full disclosure here, I’m not feeling too well,” Roberts said. “In fact, I’m going to leave, and let you all do the rest of the program on your own. I’m going to take a little time off, just to get some vacay. I’ll see you in a couple of weeks.”
“I can’t talk on this side of my mouth,” she admitted to the audience, candidly describing her condition. Roberts had a sore jaw due to her treatment for her illness.
“We’re going to miss you, but we do appreciate the Jimmy Cagney impersonation before you leave,” said Josh Elliot, her co-host.
“Our Robin Roberts, we love you. Get a little rest. Take a week off, take two, then come back,” said Sam Champion, another member of the show.
Roberts survived breast cancer in 2007 and was already expected to leave the show in August for a bone-marrow transplant.

I hope Robin has a successful recovery from this illness. I have always liked her. Although I do not watch any television no more, I do see some of her interviews from time to time. She is a woman of such class, grace, and dignity. I have the upmost respect for Robin and wish her only well during this difficult time.

Dear Ms. Roberts:
You are an inspiration to so many!
I cried with you, when you announced that your sister is going to be your bone marrow donor.
I have known so many women, who have had to deal with many sickness, diseases, illiness and you have been one, that I have admired.
I have watched you from the beginning and yes you are
remarkable.
I know that GOD holds you in his arm and He will protect you and Heal you.
Many prayers are with you on a daily basis.
You do not know, how many women watch you and are suffering from several health issues, and you continue to reach out to others.
I know that many will pray for your healing each day and will be waiting for your return.
While you are resting, getting better, enjoy each day as well as you can
We know that you have a strong faith and believe me, we all need to realize that any one of us can become ill.
God is a healer and prayer is powerful. You are already lifted to the highest power.
May you be Blessed, with family and friends.
You are a very courageous woman and I am so proud to know that I have been able to watch you on TV.
Your smile lifted me each morning and I will miss you. I wish I had taped the shows, so I could go back and be with you.
Many will pray for you and we hope that you will feel the strength in prayer.
It is not just Americans, who feel close to you,but people all over the world.
May you waLK IN LIGHT, LOVE,LAUGHTER AND ALWAYS KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
WE lOVE YOU, AND WISH YOU THE HEALING, THAT WE CLAIM. With our deepest prayers and Faith,
Women of USA,via prayer and healing, we lift you in the name of Jesus.
God Specializes and He knows all about each of us and He certainly will not leave you.He walks with you and He talks with you. He holds you in his hands, even as I type these words, the healing is beginning, for you and so many.
I know you will be back, with that beautiful smile that brightens our day.
Love to your family and much prayer for each of you and your sister.

Robin Roberts: May God grant you his grace and mercy as you go through these trying times in your life. Hold on to God’s unchanging hands. He is able to bring you through this as he did before. Believe that you can be healed and let God do the rest. We will miss you on GMA but your health is more important. Peace be still.

I’m very sorry to read about Ms. Roberts illness. I don’t watch much tv anymore, because there’s always something too sad to report. Instead I find pleasure in viewing the religious channels like TBN.
It goes without saying that my prayer is for her complete healing. The kindest word I can offer, is that she believe God for comfort & strength.
I believe that Ms. Roberts will be back on the set. And, until than, I know that God can do anything, because he healed me from a devastating aneurysm in 2001. I believe that, when we speak healing into existence, it is so. We read in scripture that, we are all made in the image and likeness of God. And, the same Holy Ghost So then if the world was created into existence through the spoken word, so too when our words go forth, they also brings things to pass. I BELIEVE THAT ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
Ms. Roberts, stay encouraged. Who knows why the Lord chose you. But, sometimes He changes our course in life, to serve only Him. And, it requires our willingness to give the world up!
You are Blessed.
God’s love is upon you.
