South African Runner with Gender Questions Accused of Losing Race on Purpose

Some track and field experts are wondering if Caster Semenya out of South Africa might have thrown her race on purpose.  Semenya, who was originally banned from competing in the past after questions emerged about her gender, is believed to have deliberately tanked the race in order to avoid the scrutiny that comes with a gold medal.

The 800-meter run, won by Russia’s Mariya Savinova, didn’t appear to be the contest that it could have been, since some thought that Semenya literally slowed down throughout the race so that she would not win.   After winning the world championships in 2009, Semenya was banned for 11 months as experts debated whether or not she was actually a woman.

I think they should leave that “woman” alone. I saw the race and I believe she underestimated her time. If you have a chance to watch it again, she took her time around the track until the last lap; then she sped up and actually came in 2nd. If she started her sprint a little sooner, I think she would have won. I don’t believe she lost on purpose; she just underestimated the Russian woman’s stride. That’s just stupid!

I don’t really understand the musings and hussed tongue dialogue..Caster Semenya of south Africa gender questions should be put to rest by now, because the world have the best technology to determine her reall gender even within one day of test–why the burdensome questions about her gender?
Ok, she slowed down during her event at the London 2012 olympics (800m ), and the Russian Mariya Savinova won the Gold and Semenya won Silver–she ( Semenya ), was beaten by a woman ( if Semenya, is finally a man ), and, that means Mariya too, has some male hormune that should also be looked into.
