A magazine in Spain, Magazine Fuera de Serie, has published a photoshopped image of a partially nude First Lady Michelle Obama
. The image shows FLOTUS sitting in a chair, covered with what appears to be an American flag, with one of her b*****s exposed. It looks as if the first black First Lady has been remade into a slave wearing a head wrap, thanks to technology.
The question which immediately comes to mind is, did anyone ever publish a nude magazine cover of Laura Bush? What about Barbara? Hillary? Of course not, but it seems that, even as First Lady, white people across the globe feel that they can use Michelle Obama’s image for whatever purpose they desire. If they desire to see her naked, then so be it, regardless of whether or not she’s married, or who she’s married to. Married to the leader of the most powerful country in the world? No matter. Show me your titty. And so it goes. In a white supremacist structure, it doesn’t matter how much a black person achieves, he or she is still just an object to be whimsically used and discarded.
In this instance, Michelle Obama’s face was superimposed on the body of an African Guadeloupean female slave painted by French artist Marie-Guilhelmine Benoist in 1800. To you, FLOTUS is a brilliant attorney and an excellent First Lady, but to the folks at Magazine Fuera de Serie, she’s still just a slave. Best not let her, or us, forget that.
To the artist’s credit, she has done other famous nudes, some of them white. But the idea that Michelle Obama’s face would be superimposed on a slave’s body has special meaning, and anyone with half a brain would know that. I’m sure the artist, Karine Percheron-Daniels, knows that this representation of Obama shows her as submissive and powerless. And that wasn’t by accident. That was the plan.

I just ran across this just this am when I was going through my FB friends and saw someone’s name show up under “friends you know”. I knew this person through our city’s city and local government, who has been semii-retired now to my knowledge. What I mean is we have been in each other presence through church, civil issues, courts etc., but I don’t KNOW him, personally. However, I pulled up his FB and I am glad I did. The manner in which this magazine has “undressed” our First African American First Lady on their cover is so telling of how these people view black women in America. It is so maliciously degrading and disrespectful to her, her husband, President Obama, family, and friends. It is certainly hurtful, disappointing, and unnerving to the millions of people who support them, their message, believe in what they are trying to do for America and the world; people who are proud that they lived long enough to be able to for once see a black family in the Whitehouse in the first place; this cover damns the very people who love them and are grateful to GOD that through the “struggle” of many who came ahead of them, the “Sojouners and Drum-majors for justice, fairness, equality, basic civil and human rights finally manifested it’s good work and the fruits of their labor came to fruition, in this nation, at the door of the WHITEHOUSE!!! Thanking GOD that this family is one who is deserving to be there because of their hardwork and disciplined efforts that came to “good completiions” which ultimately afforded them an opportunity of a “chance” at this so far, “coveted” or for the use of a more appropriate word, “ENTITLED” position in their lives!! The FIRST FIRST (BLACK) FAMILY and DOG in this WH since the inception or establishing of this country!! A nation that we have worked, served, fought and died for and is this where we still are?? To continue to degrade and bash this First Couple is going to end up being the true demise for some in this nation because they were “hand-picked” by GOD to lead us into a better and more inclusive era for everyone; so “touch not a hair on the head of MY annointed one”; so commands The Father. It is racist, offensive, and pathetic! There is no other excuse!! They couldn’t give me anything but an acknowledgement that it was disgustingly wrong, divisive, ill-thought, and hate-filled with the obvious intent to degrade the “worth” of the character of the First Lady. Then they could give me a heartfelt apology,…and I mean so heartfelt that I break down crying for them and hurting for their pain!! Lastly, they’d have to settle “monetarily” with me for the hurt and damages they have caused me and my people!! If this is a black magazine, they would be doubled-down on!! Their CEOs would have to be Herman Cain, Michael Steele, Allen West, and those other idiotic, brainwashed trolls! They would have to pay twice and then silenced not to ever speak “publicly” again!!

The first Lady’s face was photo shop or superimposed on this picture, anyone who has ever seen Michelle knows that’s not her boby. We also know their are a lost of ignorance in the world and people will do just about anything for some attention.

I am so appalled,angry and disgusted by this. Never has any First Lady been shown such disrespect!!! If anyone ever thinks that we have overcome racism in this world, this brings back the reality. It does not matter what our position, if you are Black/African American, we are still view as nothing more than slaves.

Hmmm. Perhaps a tad of textual evidence will clear this up. The original portrait was created as follows:
” In 1800, she (the original artist) exhibited Portrait d’une négresse in the Salon. Six years previously, slavery had been abolished, and this image became a symbol for women’s emancipation and black people’s rights.” The portrait was purchased by the French King.
By using this portrait and it’s actual known symbolism, isn’t the artist using the FLOTUS as the “poster child” of “women’s emancipation” and “black people’s rights” in the United States of America (via the inclusion of the flag)? Timing seems off – 2 1/2 years ago would be more appropriate, but how is it meant to degrade when the symbolism of the original painting is the absolute polar opposite of degrading?
Ms. Obama owns it. She is it – now.

Why am i not surprised?!? Spain is amongst the most racist countries in the WORLD and its fact google it! Not only has she been racially targeted but many other black athletes that have evr competed in Spain or outside Spain against a Spanish team.

I don’t remember any other first lady or president been shown such disrespect. Racism is very much alive and well. I heard someone say racism is gone that was yesterday; DON’T BELIEVE THAT, THEY MAY WORK BESIDE US AND SOME OF THEM MAY EVEN CALL YOU FRIEND BUT DON’T CLOSE YOUR EYES.
