Comedian D.L. Hughley Says Obama Needs to Man Up, Stop Getting Punked by the Right

According to comedian D. L Hughley, it’s time for President Obama to put his big boy pants on, and stop getting pushed around by Republicans. Although Hughley is a supporter of President Obama, Hughley doesn’t hold back criticism in his new book, I Want You to Shut the F*ck Up, How the Audacity of Dopes is Ruining America. 

In the book Hughley takes issue with the tactics of the Tea Party, but also takes issue with the way President Obama has mishandled the right wing fringe group.

In an interview with The Daily Beast’s Allison Samuels, Hughley says part of what makes Obama different from other blacks is that the world he group up in allowed him to have idealistic interpretation of life:
