President Obama Considers Executive Order to Implement Cyber Security Plans

President Obama is sending an alarming signal that he is willing to consider an executive order in the event that his cybersecurity legislation is not passed.   The Senate recently killed the president’s cybersecurity bill, but the Obama Administration considers some of its components to be essential to national security.

The hints from Obama came when the Senate ended last week’s debate on the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 (CSA).  The Obama Administration is blaming Republican stall tactics on the failure of the legislation, although some democrats opposed the measures as well.
