Rep. Charlie Rangel: Biden Made a Stupid Reference to Slavery Because He Thought it Was Cute

Most elected Democrats have been at least somewhat supportive of Vice President Biden’s controversial remark about Republicans wanting to  put black  people back in chains, but it now looks as if that trend is over. 

At a campaign rally in Virginia, Biden said “Look at their budget, and what they are proposing,” continuing, “Romney wants to let–he said in the first hundred days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules. Unchain Wall Street.”

Biden then paused, and said, “they going to put y’all back in chains.”

Rev. Al Sharpton was only mildly critical, saying “I think it was, I think he used the wrong term, I think he might have been over the top.
