Allyson Felix pulled off a doozy by winning gold at the Olympics in the 200 meter dash. The win is a big one for Felix, who has become a fixture at the top of the world of track and field. Felix ran a shockingly fast 21.88 seconds, defeating Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica by .21 seconds.
Carmelita Jeter, also from the US, pulled out with the bronze medal.
“I think it was all for a reason,” Felix said. “It kept me motivated and it made this moment very special.
